About Tanzania
Tanzania, the United Republic of Tanzania, is a country in East Africa within the African Great Lakes region. It borders Uganda to the north; Kenya to the northeast; the Indian Ocean to the east; Mozambique and Malawi to the south; Zambia to the southwest; and Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, is in north-eastern Tanzania.
According to the 2022 national census, Tanzania has a population of nearly 62 million, making it the most populous country located entirely south of the equator.
Tanzania's population comprises about 120 ethnic, linguistic, and religious groups. Christianity is the largest religion in Tanzania, with substantial Muslim and Animist minorities. Over 100 languages are spoken in Tanzania, making it the most linguistically diverse country in East Africa; the country does not have a de jure official language, although the national language is Swahili. English is used in foreign trade, in diplomacy, in higher courts, and as a medium of instruction in secondary and higher education, while Arabic is spoken in Zanzibar.
Many important hominid fossils have been found in Tanzania, such as 6-million-year-old Pliocene hominid fossils.
Tanzania is mountainous and densely forested in the north-east, where Mount Kilimanjaro is located. Three of Africa's Great Lakes are partly within Tanzania. To the north and west lie Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake, and Lake Tanganyika, the continent's deepest lake, known for its unique species of fish. To the south lies Lake Malawi. The eastern shore is hot and humid, with the Zanzibar Archipelago just offshore. The Menai Bay Conservation Area is Zanzibar's largest marine protected area. The Kalambo Falls, located on the Kalambo River at the Zambian border, is the second-highest uninterrupted waterfall in Africa. Tanzania is one of the most visited tourist destinations for safaris.
Sahaja Yoga Tanzania
Sahaja Yoga started in September 2006
Sahaja Yoga was brought Tanzania by Rajesh Wagh, wife, Anita and daughter, Plaksha. They relocated from Dubai collective to Darussalam.
There are approximately 12 yogis + 4-6 irregular, plus 2-3 Yuva Shakti’s and 8-10 new seekers. We do not have an ashram as yet. There are beginner classes every Saturday and main center collective every Friday evenings

Recently (end of 2023) there was a very big self realisation Tour in Darussalam for two weeks, with many program being held. About 45+ international yogis visited Darussalam.

Tournée de réalisation de soi en Tanzanie
1du 6 au 30 novembre 2023
Réalisation de soi au quotidien débutera le 17 novembre et couvrira les écoles le matin et les programmes publics le soir pendant 8 jours.
Avec une visite de 2 jours à Zanzibar pour des programmes publics (pour ceux qui souhaitent rejoindre cette extension - les tarifs seront informés prochainement)
Après la visite, il y a un safari de 2-3 jours dans le parc Mikumi Safari le plus proche de Dar-es-salaam., (un coût distinct sera communiqué prochainement).
Le départ peut avoir lieu avant le 30 si les Yogis ne peuvent pas prendre de temps supplémentaire.
Hébergement à l'hôtel se trouve dans la partie centrale de la ville, dans une zone sûre et publique.
Coûts estimés pour la nourriture, l'hébergement, sera de 25,00 $ par personne et par jour pour les journées de programme public. Des tarifs spéciaux ont été négociés.
